The death brought the death toll in this year's celebration of Armed Forces Day that fell on Sunday to nine.
Herry Wahyudi, 23, died at the Pelamonia military hospital in Makassar, South Sulawesi, an officer at the hospital said by telephone.
The body was handed over to his unit four hours later and is scheduled to be flown home in Subang, West Java, the officer said.
Wahyudi was taking part in a mock raid on a suspected rebel hideout Sunday when his camouflage, made of various fibres, accidentally caught fire from a smoke grenade. The show was performed as part of the Armed Forces Day celebrations in Makassar.
There was no fire extinguisher or water immediately available at the site. The soldier sustained serious burns and was rushed to the hospital while the celebration were immediately halted.
Eight members of the elite Kopassus army command drowned in the sea off the town of Lhokseumawe in Aceh province on Saturday during a rehearsal for the Armed Forces' Day celebration.
The rope that tied the eight together while hanging from a helicopter above the sea had to be cut after bad weather made the aircraft unstable. Their bodies, still bound together by the rope, were only found on Monday.
