A Polish armed forces officer has been arrested and charged with spying for foreign intelligence services, military prosecutors in the capital said on Tuesday.The officer, who was arrested on Monday in Warsaw, has been accused of transmitting "documents containing information liable to harm Polish national interests," the prosecutor's office said.
Neither the officer's name, nor the country involved have been disclosed.
"Considering the nature of the inquiry, it remains entirely confidential," deputy prosecutor Colonel Jerzy Kwiecinski told the PAP news agency.
If found guilty, the officer could face at least three years imprisonment.
