The Arab League called Monday for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect Israel's nuclear sites.The Cairo-based organisation called for Israel to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and for its sites to undergo IAEA inspections.
Israel has never confirmed or denied charges it possesses nuclear weapons, but the United States has considered it to be a nuclear power since 1969 and experts estimate it has 200 nuclear warheads.
