Iran and Libya share similar nuclear technology: IAEA
VIENNA (AFP) Feb 24, 2004
Iran and Libya possess similar nuclear centrifuges capable of producing weapons-grade uranium that were mostly obtained from the same foreign sources, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a report released to diplomats Tuesday.

"The basic technology is very similar and was largely obtained from the same sources," the UN nuclear watchdog said.

The agency said it was investigating the "supply and routes of such technology" as part of their quest to verify the two countries' recent decisions to give full disclosure to the United Nations of their nuclear programmes.
