Israeli missile lands on Egyptian soil RAFAH, Gaza Strip (AFP) Dec 14, 2004 A missile fired by an Israeli Apache helicopter landed Tuesday on Egypt's side of the border with Gaza, without causing casualties, security sources said. Witnesses told AFP the aircraft was pursuing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip when it fired a missile that came down near Al-Ahrash village, leaving a crater one meter (three feet) deep. In November, an Israeli tank shell killed three Egyptian policemen who were mistaken for Palestinian militants on the border with Gaza, triggering protests across Egypt. Egyptian border guards routinely complain about stray Israeli army bullets and shells landing inside Egypt. All rights reserved. 2005 Agence France-Presse.
