. Iran says EU-3, Russia to join Brussels nuclear talks
TEHRAN, July 4 (AFP) Jul 04, 2006
Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani said Tuesday officials from Britain, Germany, France and Russia will join a key meeting on Wednesday over Iran's nuclear standoff, the student ISNA agency reported.

"Representatives from the EU troika (Britain, Germany and France) and Russia will attend this meeting," Larijani said about his talks in Brussels with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana to discuss the nuclear proposals offered by the world's major powers.

Iran has been offered a package of incentives if it agrees to suspend sensitive uranium enrichment -- a process in the nuclear fuel cycle that can also make material for the core of an atom bomb.

"We insist on discussing the ambiguities of the proposal as soon as possible," Larijani said.
