TEHRAN, May 2 (AFP) May 02, 2009
Japan's Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone said on Saturday that Tokyo shared the concerns of world powers over Iran's controversial nuclear programme.

"Japan voices common concerns of the international community on Iran's nuclear issue and wants the issue to be solved based on UN resolutions," Nakasone told a joint news conference with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.

Nakasone is in Iran to discuss a range of bilateral issues with the Islamic republic.
