Obama gives Iran until end of year on nuclear talks WASHINGTON, May 18 (AFP) May 18, 2009 US President Barack Obama said after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday that he would assess whether Iran was serious about nuclear talks by the end of this year. "We are not going to have talks forever," Obama said as he met reporters alongside the Israeli leader in the Oval Office. "My expectation would be that if we begin discussions soon, shortly after the Iranian elections, we should have a fairly good sense by the end of the year as to whether they are moving in the right direction."
