Kalashnikov has begun delivery of high-speed transport and amphibious assault boats to the Russian military, the company announced Wednesday. Boats being delivered to Russia's special forces include the BC-16 troop boat and the BC-10 assault boat, Kalashnikov said in a statement. The boats passed tests in 2015. The two-crew BC-16 can seat 19 people and can reach speeds of 42 knots with a cruising range of 400 miles. The BC-10 goes about 40 knots and can carry 10 people and two crew members. The boats can be equipped with different weapon systems, including 7.62mm and 12.7mm machine guns and 40mm grenade launchers, Kalashnikov said. The boats can be used for high-speed delivery of troops, operational patrols, sabotage and anti-sabotage operations.
