Rockwell Collins opens new facility in India by Richard Tomkins New Delhi (UPI) Nov 20, 2015
A new facility in India has been opened by Rockwell Collins, which hs signed a 15-year lease for the building located in Bangalore. The facility will employ 30 workers initially but the workforce is expected to grow to 100 in the first year of operation. "The opening is a reflection of our commitment to India, as well as the increasing demand for services from our India Design Center in Hyderabad," said Sunil Raina, managing director of Rockwell Collins India. "We chose Bangalore because of the high concentration of engineering talent there and the fact that it is an aerospace hub." Rockwell Collins operates a design center in Hyderabad, augmenting its engineering and information technology capabilities. The center was established to expand the company's global footprint and meet the needs of regional customers. A facility for business development is located near New Delhi and conducts program management, systems engineering and related support activities for net-enabled communications, navigation, surveillance, displays, sensors, simulation and training and integrated systems for airborne, ground and maritime use. Additional details about the new Bangalore facility were not disclosed.
