Satlynx S.A. ('Satlynx') will support Elbit Systems Ltd, a leading Israeli defence company and Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., by offering two-way satellite broadband access during Eurosatory, the International Exhibition for 'Land and Land-Air Defence' taking place in Paris-Nord from 14th – 18th June 2004.
Satlynx will enable the operation of the GlobaLight terminal. The terminal is manufactured by Elbit Systems and Gilat, who recently signed a teaming agreement for defence and homeland security applications. The GlobaLight, exhibited in the Eurosatory show, has specific applications for military broadband and VoIP communications.
The service demonstrated with the GlobaLight terminal, effectively illustrates the ability of Satlynx to provide broadband services for data, voice and video in Europe with a high level of quality and security for disaster and emergency command and support teams, as well as for remote infantry and border patrols.
