Terion, a leading provider of trailer fleet management systems with approximately 80,000 devices installed, Tuesday announced the launch of its next generation trailer-tracking system, FleetView(R) 3. FleetView 3 combines the latest digital wireless and GPS technologies with Terion's robust web-based application and reporting system.
The Smarter Trailer Fleet Management Solution
FleetView 3 utilizes the CDMA digital wireless network, intelligently switching from 1XRTT, SMS, and circuit switched digital service with AMPS cellular capability. The result is the most powerful ubiquitous digital coverage available.
Digital technology combined with Terion's proprietary power management intelligence results in superior battery performance, further extending the performance of FleetView 3 when untethered from the tractor.
FleetView 3 supports over-the-air system upgrades and enhancements, eliminating the expense of taking trailers off the road and manually updating the unit.
The system was developed to perform in the harshest environments, exceeding the stringent SAE-1455 standards.
"FleetView 3 offers numerous enhancements and improvements gained from the experience of our current customers," said President and CEO, Ken Cranston.
"The launch of FleetView 3 will allow Terion to continue to provide our customers with the best technology, deliver the most value, and position Terion for continued market leadership."
