A new tropical storm formed Sunday in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said.
Tropical storm Nana was located about 1485 kilometers (925 miles) west of the Cape Verde Islands at 2100 GMT, the NHC said.
With maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers (40 miles) per hour, Nana was moving west-northwest at 11 kilometers (seven miles) per hour and was expected to weaken over the next 24 hours to become a tropical depression.
