The satellite industry in the Asia-Pacific region is "on the move" with the increasing demand for High Definition Television (HDTV) broadcast and turnaround services, the opening of Direct-to-Home (DTH) markets in China and India, and with a number of broadband services via satellite significantly increasing in Asian countries and Australia.

Experts from the international satellite industry will bring an insight to the details of these trends in the Asian satellite market at the largest event in Asia for the satellite industry, the APSCC 2008 Satellite Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for September 22-25 in Jeju Island.

Themed "Satellites on the Move", APSCC 2008 will highlight key issues impacting the development of the satellite industry in the Asia-Pacific region, including new satellite application technologies, services strategies and regulatory issues currently faced by the satellite community, through CEO Roundtables, panel discussions and sessions over the three-day conference.
