The Cassini spacecraft captured this spectacular transit of Saturn's moon Enceladus near the ring plane on March 3, and mission controllers received the image March 4.
The spacecraft's camera was pointing toward Enceladus at a distance of about 2.6 million kilometers (1.7 million miles).
The image is so new that Cassini scientists have not yet verified which of the other moons is involved in the encounter.
