Cape Canaveral – June 9, 1999 – Bad weather scrubbed a Delta 2 launch of a Globalstar batch of four this morning at Cape Canaveral again following Tuesday morning's scrub on the first launch attempt. Boeing is aiming for another attempt Thursday morning at 9.48 when a three minute window opens.

Cape Canaveral – June 8, 1999 – Officials scrubbed today's launch of a Boeing Delta II rocket carrying four satellites for the Globalstar communications system due to inclement weather.

The launch team will make another attempt tomorrow. The three-minute window opens at 10:04:51 a.m. EDT.

Live television coverage of the launch is planned. Coordinates are: Telstar 5, transponder 19, 12053 Mhz. Media wishing to view the launch must meet at Pass and ID at 8:30 a.m. EDT.

This is the first of four Boeing Delta II launches in a three-month period for Space Systems/Loral and the Globalstar satellite telephony system.
