The Global Positioning Systems Wing, Air Force Space Command, Department of Transportation, and the Los Angeles Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) have re-established the GPS Partnership Council as the premier annual event for GPS stakeholders to exchange the latest GPS information and status, view the latest industry exhibits and capabilities, network and enhance the overall GPS vision.
This year's GPS Partnership Council will be held at the Space and Missile Systems Center in Los Angeles, May 20-21. Registration will be open to Government and industry but limited to U. S. persons due to foreign disclosure restrictions.
"Embracing the goals of the National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Strategy, we want to continue the roadmap of a consistent integrated national plan established by the federal government, "said Col. John Borris, GPS Wing. "GPS has become such a significant enabler to this nation and the world, we need to be able to continue to look ahead and interact with our GPS partners to supply the world with capabilities that will safeguard us all."
Themes for this year's council are: Military/Civil Capability Roadmap; Criticality of GPS to Safety-of-Life Applications; and Military Integration and Synchronization.

Partnership Council registrants are invited to several related activities in the Los Angeles area including a golf tournament and "black tie" dinner.
The GPS Partnership Council Golf Tournament will be held at Skylinks Municipal Golf Course in Long Beach, May 19. To play in the tournament, please fill out the registration form which will be available through the AFCEA-LA website. Golfers must be attending the GPS Partnership Council in order to compete. The deadline for the tournament is April 14.
A Dining Out will be held May 21 aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. The theme for this year's Dining Out is "GPS 21: Partnering to Guide 21st Century Warfighting." The registration form for the event can be found on the AFCEA web site.
