CACI Contracted To Support TROJAN Satellite Communications For U.S. Army

"The TROJAN family of systems provides a vital communications backbone for America's warfighters. It carries high volumes of critical information between national agencies and U.S. Army headquarters, and commanders in the field."
Arlington VA (SPX) Aug 10, 2005
CACI International announced Tuesday that it has been awarded a delivery order contract by the Intelligence and Information Directorate of the U.S. Army Communication-Electronics Research Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) to continue supporting the Army's TROJAN satellite communications systems.

The seven-month effort has a potential value of $31 million. With this award, made under the $500 million, multiple-award Technical, Engineering, Fabrication, and Operations Support (TEFOS) contract vehicle that CACI announced in 2000, CACI will support the Army in its efforts to integrate, test, and deploy TROJAN systems worldwide.

This is the fourth consecutive delivery order awarded to CACI in support of the TROJAN program and represents the continued expansion of CACI's business in intelligence solutions.

TROJAN is a family of systems that enables the Army to manage and disseminate critical intelligence information.

It includes rapidly deployable mobile communication systems that can be mounted on Humvees or aboard aircraft like the C-130, and that can be tailored to different types of operations.

The systems provide a global reach-back network that links tactical commanders in the field with decision-makers at the national and joint strategic intelligence levels.

The program also includes the TROJAN SPIRIT (Special Purpose Intelligence Remote Integrated Terminal), an intelligence dissemination satellite terminal that provides secure access for intelligence processing and dissemination systems.

CACI provides both development and quick reaction capability support for TROJAN. CACI experts provide systems design and engineering, deliver comprehensive hardware and software support, and help deploy system upgrades to Army users.

CACI's proven expertise in supplying these services, coupled with the company's in-depth understanding of the TROJAN mission, assures the Army of uninterrupted high-quality support and continued high-performance results.

CACI Chairman, President, and CEO Dr. J.P. (Jack) London said, "The TROJAN family of systems provides a vital communications backbone for America's warfighters. It carries high volumes of critical information between national agencies and U.S. Army headquarters, and commanders in the field.

"CACI is firmly focused on helping the Army sustain TROJAN's role in providing timely and accurate intelligence that can be acted upon quickly. We are dedicated to assisting our Army clients in maintaining information superiority, ensuring the safety of our troops, and winning the war on terrorism."
