Iran Test-Fires Russian Air Defence Missiles![]() Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards on Wednesday successfully test-fired a new Russian-made air defence missile system, whose delivery last month sparked bitter US criticism. The test-firing of the surface-to-air missiles, on the first of two days of war games by the Guards' air force and naval divisions, comes amid mounting tensions with the West over the Iranian nuclear programme. Report That US And North Korea Signed Nuke Deal Memorandum Last Month In January ![]() The United States and North Korea have signed a memorandum under which Pyongyang has agreed to shut down a nuclear reactor in exchange for energy aid, a newspaper said Thursday. Washington's chief envoy to six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear programme, Christopher Hill, and North Korean counterpart Kim Kye Gwan signed the memorandum last month when they met in Berlin, the Asahi Shimbun said.
