Nikolai Solovtsov, the commander of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces, did not cause a sensation. Specialists and experts on the Missile Forces heard only one piece of new information from the general. This was the news that the command of the RSMF will, of course, react if Russia decides to withdraw from the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces treaty in reaction to U.S. plans to deploy a missile defense shield in Poland and radars in the Czech Republic.
