Libya ceasefire 'immediately violated': US
Rio De Janeiro (AFP) March 20, 2011
The ceasefire announced by Moamer Kadhafi's Libyan regime "isn't true" or has been "immediately violated," President Barack Obama's national security aide Tom Donilon said Sunday. Kadhafi's army announced the new ceasefire earlier Sunday, adding it was heeding an African Union call for an immediate cessation of hostilities, as allied forces tightened enforcement of a UN resolution aimed at halting attacks on civilians to suppress a month-long uprising.
