Boeing awarded $6.56B for upgrades to ballistic missile defense system



Washington (UPI) Feb 1, 2018
Boeing has been awarded a contract for development and sustainment of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense system. The deal, announced Wednesday by the Department of Defense, is valued at $6.56 billion under an undefinitized modification to a previous award contract. The new modification, including built-in options, brings the cumulative value of the contract to more than $12.6 billion, and the contract is now set to run from January 2018 through December 2023.
