France deploys armed drones in Sahel anti-jihadist fight Paris (AFP) Dec 19, 2019 France has officially deployed its first armed drones, three American-built Reapers fitted with laser-guided missiles, in its fight against a jihadist insurrection in Africa's Sahel region, Defence Minister Florence Parly announced Thursday.
