Airbus to deliver advanced satellite modems to UK MoD for Skynet comms

Airbus has secured a contract with the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence (MOD) to supply next-generation satellite modems for the Skynet military satellite communications network. The agreement is part of the Future Protected Modem Type-A (FPMA) project, designed to enhance the capabilities of the current satellite communication systems. The new modems will replace the Paradigm Modem System currently in use, supporting the operational Skynet 5 satellites and the upcoming Skynet 6A satellite. Th ... read more
