Whether deployed in combat, low intensity conflict or peacekeeping operations, Elbit Systems of America's innovative, practical solutions allow units to operate successfully in complex conflicts and urban environments. Elbit Systems of America - providing 'Scalable Solutions for Tomorrow's Threats, Today'. The Elbit Systems of America exhibit will feature a family of situational awareness systems including: CockpitNGTM As an industry leader in helmet, multi-function head-up (HUD) and head down displays (HDD), mission and display processors and electronics warfare and EO/IR ISR sensors systems, Elbit Systems has combined these capabilities in developing CockpitNGTM. CockpitNGTM has the potential to capture multi-sensor data, correlate related navigational data, fuse situational information sources, and overlay relevant tactical data into a virtual synthesized pilot information presentation. With a high technology readiness level (TRL) and open architecture Reconfigurable Common Modular Avionics Architecture (RCMAA), CockpitNG is a situational awareness multiplier. " Cockpit Technology Demonstrator featuring our Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) Solution and Helmet Display and Tracker System, with Flat Panel Displays Elbit Systems of America's Cockpit Technology Demonstrator highlights our intuitive brownout "grid symbology" which allows helicopters or tiltrotor aircraft to effectively operate in Degraded Visual Environments (DVE) without the use of any heavy or drag-inducing sensors. Our Helmet Display and Tracking System (HDTS), which provides unique crew coordination advantages, is the backbone of the system and is comprised of qualified components already supplied to the DoD and in use on various U.S. military aircraft. The flat panel displays for the HDTS feature qualified avionics components that have been rigorously tested and meet all U.S. qualification standards. Both Night Vision Goggles (NVG) and Day (HUD) are proven. Head-Up Displays (HUDs) Elbit Systems produces HUDs for fighter and cargo aircraft. Recently, Elbit Systems of America (ESA) developed the Replacement HUD (RHUD), a glare-shield mounted HUD comprised of two principal line replacement units: the RHUD Projector Unit and the RHUD Computer Unit. With the RHUD, Elbit Systems of America has incorporated growth provisions that will provide the foundation for reduced visibility operations - for example, Enhanced Flight Vision System, sensor fusion and other enhancements - while addressing ease of maintenance, enhanced reliability and mitigation of obsolescence. A family of training and simulation systems including: CockpitNGTM with Targo Helmet Mounted Avionics (HMA) and Embedded Virtual Avionics (EVA) CockpitNGTM is based on a smart central large area display (LAD) which includes all avionic components in one unit. This display is fully integrated with Targo, a Helmet Mounted Avionics system that enables pilots to plan, rehearse, fly and debrief using their personal helmets. The systems are very easily integrated into any aircraft's avionics, providing all the benefits of prior Helmet Mounted Displays (HMD) including helmet visor- projected imagery and symbology, precision head tracking and cueing. Installing EVA on a basic or advanced trainer aircraft transforms the aircraft into a virtual advanced fighter while maintaining the hourly training costs of a trainer. The EVA virtual avionics suite, together combined with Targo and CockpitNG,TM are designed to bridge the large training gap existing today between trainer and modern fighter aircraft. Shipboard Embedded Training via Elbit Systems' Naval Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (NCMI) Fielded today, the Elbit Systems NCMI is a full-scale, ready to run on-board training system, which provides cutting edge on-board training system both ashore and at sea. The NCMI instruments the different combat systems and stimulates superimposed detections of virtual targets while displaying actual detections on the operational systems. The NCMI standard installation consists of multiple vessels each fitted with an NCMI Ship Mounted Unit (NSU) and an NCMI control and monitoring station on board the vessel or ashore. The NSU's are interfaced with the ship's various combat systems (Sensor systems, Weapon systems and Command and Control). NCMI takes advantage of the existing datalink equipment for coordination between the vessels and platforms as well as the shore station. The latest upgrade to our unmanned systems including: Silver Marlin USV The Silver Marlin is a fast, maneuverable, weaponized 11 meter Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) with primary missions in the domain of Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), Coastal Security, ISR, Riverine Warfare, Search and Rescue, and Remote Targeting. The Silver Marlin has an operating range of up to 500 NM and endurance of 24 to 36 hours. The craft has a maximum speed of 45 kts and a total payload of 4,400 lbs. It maintains full mission capability at Sea State 3. The Silver Marlin payloads consist of radar and EO/IR sensors, navigation and safety sensors, Stabilized Remotely Controlled Weapon Station (SRCWS), craft and payload control computers with obstacle avoidance/ collision avoidance system and autonomous navigation capability. A complete Silver Marlin USV system consists of the craft, the Ground Control Station and the communication system, including data links and SATCOM. The system is designed for joint integrated operations with Elbit's Hermes 450 or Skylark unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), operated from a common Ground Control Station. A family of thermal imaging systems including: Airborne Tactical Vision System - ATVS The ATVS is a single LRU airborne imaging system based upon Kollsman's successful GAVIS (General Aviation Vision System) technology, providing military customers with flight, approach and taxi vision augmentation in low visibility conditions without the need for artificial light. Originally designed to assist commercial pilots with landings in low visibility weather conditions, ATVS can also be used to assist in keeping complete situational awareness in conditions encountered during combat operations such as low-light/no-light operations, ground taxi situational awareness, poor weather operations and high dust environments for fixed and rotary wing aircraft and unmanned aircraft systems. The ATVS consists of an un-cooled infrared imaging (IR) sensor and integrated window assembly in an integrated aerodynamics enclosure. The ATVS' single LRU provides analog video imagery through RS-170 output that is viewable through a monitor or heads-up-display (HUD) video for maximum situational awareness. Physically, the ATVS is shaped like a common airborne antenna providing a very low profile and extremely light weight. It can be mounted either on the top or bottom of the airframe's fuselage in any position that provides an uninterrupted view forward. At a weight of less than 4 lbs, the ATVS provides a great deal of capability to an airframe with very little impact on weight or aerodynamics. The ATVS is a light weight, low-cost solution to providing real-time infrared imaging capability to any airframe in the military arsenal. MUSIC The MUlti Spectral Infrared Countermeasure (MUSIC) system is a high performance, laser-based Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) protection system for aircraft and helicopters against ground to air missiles (MANPADS). MUSIC can handle multiple threats fired from any direction. The unit integrates fiber laser technology and a high frame rate thermal camera with a small, highly dynamic turret to provide effective, reliable and affordable protection under all operational conditions and is adaptable to threat evolution. MUSIC provides rapid and accurate detection, acquisition and jamming of missile threats. Coral-CR The Coral-CR is a high-performance, tripod mounted or hand-held Long-Range Day/ Night Thermal Imaging System using a cutting edge camera and a cooled, highly sensitive 640x512 InSb Focal Plane Array thermal camera with continuous optical zoom, as well as 4X digital zoom. The Laser Range Finder, digital magnetic compass, and global positioning system allow generation of target coordinates to 10Km. The Coral-CR also supports video out via standard BNC connector.
