Elbit Systems Ltd. is to supply advanced tactical communications systems to an unidentified European country, the Israeli company reports.

The systems include its CNR9000HDR tactical IP radio for medium and long range communication and the THF 8000 for over the horizon, very long-range communication.

Both will come in vehicular and manpack configurations.

Also being provided under contracts worth $40 million will be Elbit's PNR-1000 soldier IP radio -- a new addition to Elbit's E-Lynx family of mobile networking radios -- and digital intercom systems.

"We are proud to be awarded important contracts from a European customer, for the supply of advanced communication systems which are based on decades of experience and proven radio products and technologies," said Yehuda (Udi) Vered, general manager of Elbit Systems Land & C4I Division.

Work under the contracts will be conducted over a one-year period, Elbit Systems said. Additional contract details were not disclosed.
