Kleos Space S.A, a space-powered Radio Frequency Reconnaissance data-as-a- service (DaaS) company, has appointed Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Mario E. Zaltzman as a military advisor

for a 12-week period under a secondment program with the US Department of Defence.

LTC Mario Zaltzman is a member of the US Army Reserve, where he is responsible for critical technology and product acquisitions. He has also held several senior positions in the private sector, including Process Engineer, Product Manager, Regional Business Unit Manager, National Accounts Manager, Director of Commercial Operations and Director of Integration Projects.

Mario is working with Kleos as part of the US Department of Defence's SkillBridge program, which enables Service members to transition to civilian employment within related industries.

Mario's secondment provides Kleos with in-depth military insights into US government and defence acquisition processes.

LTC Mario Zaltzman said, "The DOD program allows for a mutual exchange of skillsets. On one hand, Kleos is giving me great insights on the specific markets and technology they are developing; and on the other hand, I contribute to the growth of the business with my 12 years' army and on-the-ground experience. This is a great combination and being part of an advanced startup like Kleos is both interesting and challenging".

Kleos' Group Chief Revenue Officer, Eric von Eckartsberg, explained, "Kleos is developing a new data intelligence capability that can serve the needs of a diverse set of government customers.

"Mario's insights into customer missions and requirements, gained over more than 12 years, will help us understand how to tailor those products towards those needs. We look forward to working with Mario over the course of this program."
