Britain's Ministry of Defense is building a new Defense College of Logistics, Policing and Administration for the country's military services.
The facility, which will be completed in 2018, will bring together the training for key support roles from each of the services onto one site for the first time and provide instruction in diverse areas, such as catering, supply, transport and military human resources.
"The new college will ensure our servicemen and women have state-of-the-art training with great accommodation in which to live and learn," said Defense Minister Dr. Andrew Murrison.
"By co-locating activities for all 3 services we are improving efficiency and saving taxpayers' money by making the best use of the defense estate."
The facility, with a price tag of about $420 million, will be constructed by Skanska plc, the British subsidiary of a Swedish company. It will be located in Worthy Down, Hampshire.
Last year the ministry announced the building a new Defense College of Technical Training.
