Pakistan reviewing Indian file on Mumbai: official Islamabad (AFP) Jan 5, 2009 Pakistan said Monday it was reviewing a dossier India handed over regarding the deadly Mumbai attacks, which triggered fresh tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours. Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters India had given Pakistan what it said was evidence linking the Islamic militants who carried out the November attacks to "elements in Pakistan." In Islamabad, a foreign ministry spokesman confirmed that Pakistan's High Commissioner to India had received the file in New Delhi on Monday and had sent it to authorities back home. "The material has been received in Pakistan now and is being examined by concerned authorities," the spokesman said. Pakistan has repeatedly said that its own investigation of the attacks could move forward once India shared evidence with Islamabad. Tensions between them have been high since the attacks on India's financial centre killed 172 people, including nine of the attackers. Share This Article With Planet Earth
