Proxity Subsidiary Successfully Flight Tests 8 Lb. Cyber Scout
West Palm Beach FL (SPX) Aug 19, 2004 Proxity Digital Networks, through Cyber Aerospace, an operating subsidiary of Proxity's On Alert Systems, announces the Cyber Scout successfully lifted off from the test stand entirely under its own power. The Scout exhibited ample thrust for this test phase and required only 80 percent power to maintain a 6-foot hover. The test proved the current power configuration is more than adequate for lift off and hover and forward flight. Weighing only 8 lbs., the Scout is designed to operate innovative clandestine reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and could be hand-carried into battle to perform hunter-killer missions. With an open access airframe fuselage, the Cyber Scout can be rapidly field-configured with a wide array of cameras, sensors, weapons, and instruments.
