Raytheon will relocate its Patriot New Equipment Training program to Fort Sill, Okla., beginning early next year.

The move is in response to the U.S. Army's Base Realignment and Closure decision and relocation of the Air Defense School to Fort Sill.

The program trains Army personnel on upgrades to the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System equipment operation and maintenance.

"Moving to Fort Sill reinforces Raytheon's 25-year partnership with and commitment to the Army," said Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC Mission Support Operations Vice President Bill Toti.

"Providing mission-critical training on the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System ensures our warfighters' operational readiness."

The combat-proven Patriot is the world's most advanced air and missile defense system and is the defense system of choice for 12 nations around the globe, including five NATO nations.

Raytheon is the prime contractor for both domestic and international Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems and system integrator for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles.
