Russia test fires cruise missiles: reports Moscow (AFP) March 19, 2009 Russian Tupolev bombers Thursday successfully test-fired cruise missiles in the country's far-northern Vorkuta region, local news agencies Interfax and Ria Novosti reported. "The last two bombers returned a few minutes ago to their permanent base after launching the missiles. In all six long-range bombers took part," in the exercise, said air force spokesman Vladimir Drik.
