Jerusalem (AFP) Oct 2, 2009 Israel has not been delivered two German submarines as the military had previously reported, with the two subs still under construction, the military said Thursday. "These submarines are still under construction and have not yet been delivered to the Israeli navy," a statement said. A military spokesman had said Tuesday that Israel had taken delivery of two German Dolphin-class submarines, called U212s, ordered four years ago. Israel currently has three German submarines.
