Titan Wins $300 Million Defense Threat Reduction Agency Contract

it'd do wonders for sales of consumer eletronics

 Washington - May 12, 2003
The Titan Corporation was one of three companies that the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has awarded an eleven-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract having a total potential value of $300 million to provide specialized engineering services to the agency.

Under the contract, Titan will develop, demonstrate and transition to deployed systems technologies for protection of electronics from radio frequency/high-power microwave threats and nuclear electromagnetic environments. Titan will also conduct electromagnetic weapon lethality assessments.

"This is a significant win for us, and it underscores Titan's technical leadership in this area," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president, and CEO.

"It demonstrates DTRA's recognition of Titan's unique technical and operational capabilities in supporting the agency's mission to create, prototype and demonstrate innovative technology, and to effectively transition it to support our armed forces and other federal operations."
