USTRANSCOM taps MCR Federal for financial support services

U.S. Transportation Command is to receive comprehensive financial services support from MCR Federal, a program management company.

The contract is a single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity vehicle with a potential value of $49.9 million. It has a one-year base period of performace with options running through July of 2017.

The company said that with the granting of the contract, it received a $15.4 base year award.

"MCR has assembled an elite team of large and small businesses with extraordinary experience and past performance supporting USTRANSCOM, and specifically J8," said MCR President Vince Kiernan. "This work is very important for MCR and allows us to bring additional capabilities from across our company to assist J8 in meeting its goals of providing efficient and effective use of command resources in support of the USTRANSCOM mission."

J8 is the Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Directorate of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff.

MCR said its services to USTRANSCOM's director for program analysis and financial management will include financial management and analyses, program cost analyses, operational cost analyses, billing rate development, billing and revenue, command initiatives and business processes, financial systems analyses for enterprise resource planning, and quality assurance.
