atrexx Maintains Vital Communications Links For Iraq
Remagen, Germany (SPX) Sep 22, 2009 atrexx has confirmed that it will be offering satellite-based communications services, via the Eutelsat EUROBIRD 4A satellite, to the Iraq region. The company is responding to the deteriorating security situation in Iraq, which has led to the delay of the withdrawal of U.S. troops and thus to continued strong demand for communications services - including for security forces and for soldiers who want to stay in touch with friends and family back home. Miriam Zude, Key Account Manager at atrexx commented: "Although the decision is to withdraw the bulk of the allied forces from Iraq, it appears that the implementation of this project is delayed due to the recent deteriorating security situation. U.S. troops are still stationed in the region and help maintain stability in the country". Mr. Dawood of Ruaby Al-Andalos, atrexx' agent in Baghdad, Iraq, explained: "atrexx have enabled us to provide critical communications for various projects in Iraq. The technical support that we receive from the atrexx team is outstanding. They have helped us to offer access to a range of communications services that facilitate the valuable work that the government and U.S. troops are doing here." atrexx' 2way2sat services will be delivered via the re-positioned EUROBIRD 4A satellite located at 4 degrees East that provides a wide beam coverage encompassing Europe, the Atlantic Islands, North Africa, and the Middle East.
