Alloy Surfaces was awarded a $30 Million Contact from the United States Air Force for MJU-50/B Infrared Special Material Decoys. This news comes the same week that Alloy Surfaces announced receiving the largest IDIQ contract to date. Alloy Surfaces received a five year IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity) contract from the United States Army with the maximum value of $347.9 Million.
The IDIQ has a minimum value of $5.4 Million. The Army immediately awarded the first order valued at $16.0 Million for M211 Decoys.
This latest award is for MJU-50/B Special Materials Decoys (SMD) which are used to protect various types of transport and fighter aircraft in the USAF.
All Special Material Decoys provide dramatically increased protection levels against current and the latest generation of IR missiles, commonly known as MANPADS.
