Beirut (UPI) Lebanon, Jan. 24, 2007 - A general strike called by the Hezbollah-led opposition has revealed deep partition among the Lebanese, revived their painful memories of the 1975-90 civil war and pushed the country to the edge of chaos. Three dead and more than 176 wounded were the first result of the Tuesday strike, which culminated 54 days of opposition sit-ins and protests to demand the formation of a national unity government and early elections.
